From Amber Keath - RyanGifford.com Liason Ryan started 5th in the B conse and moved up to finish 3rd (they take top 3 to feature). He then started the 30-lap feature 11th and raced hard all night. He raced up in the front with his teammates, Austin & Ty Dillon and car builder Jared Landers from lap 15 on. Ryan was running 5th when it came down to a green-white-checkered. He had a good re-start then another caution came out which ended the race with Ryan finishing 5th, Austin Dillon 3rd & Jared Landers winning for the 4th night in the series.

It was difficult to pass and raced NASCAR Cup drivers Ken Schrader and Kenny Wallace throughout the 20-lap race. He finished 7th with Ty Dillon finishing 4th, Austin Dillon finishing 2nd and Jared Landers, Team Dillon Racing's Car Builder, winning for the 3rd night this week. He started 7th in the 3rd B-main and finished 4th. Unfortunately they only take the winners of the B-Mains so Ryan didn't make the feature tonight. However, Ryan's teammate Austin Dillon raced hard in the feature and won! Congratulations Austin!

From Amber Keath - RyanGifford.com Liason They qualified in groups and inverted the top 4 in each group. Ryan was 6th in 2nd group he will start 6th in heat. Ryan finished 4th in his heat and they only take 3 so he started on the outside pole of the consi. He led every lap and they only take 1 to the feature. Then started the feature 25th. He got involved in a crash on lap 1 and avoided another crash on lap 3. He had a good car and drove up through the pack and finished 5th. (There were 8 heat races - took top 3, there were 4 B-mains and only took the winners, 28 started the feature).

Good Start to the 2009 Season for Ryan |

Ryan was able to get in some practice for the 2009 Alltel DirtCar Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park on January 25th as he was able to win his heat race and at the end of the feature, put his Shell/Pennzoil mount in the runner-up position.

Ryan Receives Award at Fastrak Banquet |

The Fastrak banquest was January 24th at the Music City Sheraton Hotel in Nashville, TN. Ryan ended his 2008 Fastrak Series season with a 9th place finish in the National Fastrak Series and a 12th place finish in the National Weekly Series.

Ryan To Run Late Model and Modified at Volusia |
Ryan has plans to run both his late model and a Modified out of the Team Dillon Racing shops during the 38th annual Alltel DirtCar Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park. The dates of the events are February 3rd - 14th. Ryan will get a little track time at Volusia on January 23rd - 25th. January 24th and 25th are races, so stay tuned to ryangifford.com for race results, or sign up for the DirtVision.com package to watch Ryan during the DirtCar Nationals.

Rain Foils Ryan's Homecoming |
Well, the homecoming of Ryan to the hometown track was cancelled due to rain. Ryan got about 25 laps of practice on Thursday. The car was extremely fast, but that was it.
Hopefully when his 2009 schedule gives him time, he will try and make it back. We'll have to wait and see.
